Occasional Helper

The perfect role for someone who is happy to join our team and help our sections or group once in a while. An occasional helper can help us at camp for a weekend, attend a section meeting when able or help us at an event.

Group Executive Member

Our group executive work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, manage our money and to support the leaders who deliver scouting every week. Our group executive is the equivalent of a school governing body and are our trustees, we're looking for new adults to come on board all of the time.

The group executive meets around once every two months and members of the exec sometimes take on extra one off tasks like visiting a section to do a risk assessment or submitting an application for a grant.

Leading Young People

Join our beaver, cub or scout section team and help deliver a programme of fun, challenge and adventure to nearly 100 young people. You don't need any experience and we'll ease you in gently to the role. We'll also provide a little training as part of the support.

Taking a volunteer role in one of our sections is hugely rewarding and our adults enjoy it because they have as much fun as our young people. You'll get to try some new activities and learn some skills along the way. You don't have to be there every week, as long as we know when you're around, we'll make sure you have a part to play.

Our group executive are working on a plan of fundraising activities and grant applications to grow the equipment the group owns with a long term plan of developing the group. They would love some support with fundraising, whether you can organise a fundraiser yourself, or just be available to help at an event, we would love to hear from you. One weekend you could be selling raffle tickets and the next taking part in a sponsored zip wire.
