4th Washington Scout Group takes the issue of privacy very seriously and is committed to protecting and respecting our users' privacy online. 1. The Information We Collect

The only circumstances in which we will provide any of your personal data to a third party for non commercial purposes are those contained in this Privacy Policy.

2. Registration Information

When you register to join 4th Washington Scouts, www.4thwashingtonscouts.org.uk, we ask for you for your name, your child's name, contact numbers and date of birth. We share this information with Houghton-Le-Spring District (www.hls-scouts.org.uk) who manage our waiting list on behalf of the group.

When you become a member of 4th Washington Scouts, we collect additional emergency contact information, a second parent or guardian contact details, any additional needs and permissions for participation in group activities.

We collect attendance information and badge achievement information of our members during their time in the group.

3. Sharing of Data

We don't share the data supplied by you with any 3rd parties other than:-

  • Houghton-Le-Spring Scout district who manage the waiting list for scouting in Houghton-Le-Spring District (covering Washington, Hetton and Houghton).

  • Where we use a 3rd party activity provider and they require information to ensure the safe running of an event.

4. Advertising

4th Washington Scouts do not use any advertising on it's website.

5. Legal Jurisdiction

All personal information is held and processed in line with the Data Protection Act.

6. Further Information

4th Washington Scouts (www.4thwashingtonscouts.org.uk) will as part of it's normal operation send out to information emails. Members will be automatically enrolled on to group emails, but are able to opt out by request.

7. Disclosure of Data by Order of a Court and Security

We reserve the right to communicate a Member's personal information as we hold to third parties who are empowered by regulation, statute or order of a court.

We have security measures in place to protect our member database. Access to this database is restricted internally.
