Out Latest Corona Virus Updates

Following the latest relaxation of the corona virus rules across the UK, the Scout Association have updated guidance for scouts, this means the group will.

  • Where ever possible, we will continue to meet outdoors. Once the school allow us back into the hall, we will have the option of indoor activities.

  • Social distancing is no longer required, however scouts, explorers, young leaders and adults will be required to wear masks whenever direct physical contact is required or in poorly ventilated spaces. Scouts, explorers, young leaders should continue to bring a mask each week.

  • Any young person who wishes to wear a mask beyond our requirements above are welcome to continue (including beavers and cubs).

  • Young people must not attend if they have been asked to isolate, have corona virus symptoms or are within 10 days of a positive test.

Kit List

Young people should wear a necker to show that they are part of 4th Washington, but don’t need to wear full uniform over the summer. From September, we intend to return to uniform across the group.

  • A drink

  • A waterproof coat

  • Extra warm clothes - E.g. a hat and gloves, additional layer

  • Mask/Face Covering - Members of the scout section are required to bring a mask.
