Using GSuite Tools Safely

Parents and carers are asked to read our guidance with young people to confirm their understanding.

1. Always be kind, helpful, respectful and welcoming.

Talk to people online as you would talk to them face to face. All chat, email and communication is logged. Please don’t use bad words.

2. Don’t give your login details to anyone else.

They are for scout members and their parents and carers only.

3. When using online chat and video hangouts, sit in the lounge, dining room or kitchen where other people are in your house.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are not the right place.

4. If a chat or video call includes one of our adult leaders, there must always be another adult there too.

This could be another leader, or a parent or carer.
